WEATHER WARNING IN FORCE FOR ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND, CLICK HERE

Ex Tropical Storm Danny

Over the past 24 hours the remains of tropical storm Danny have moved across most areas of the UK, bringing some heavy rain and some gusty winds.

Southern areas will begin the day on a cloudy and windy note, however most of the rain should of cleared away. Although there will still be some showers effecting Wales and the South West, as we go through the day these will begin to move East. These are likely to be heavy at times, with the odd rumble of thunder. Temperatures for Southern areas will be between 14-18c, however it will feel cool in the winds.

Northern Ireland is the place to be today, with some sunny spells and scattered showers. Although these could be heavy at time, but should be few and far between. Temperatures  for NI will be between 14-16c, but it will feel cool in the wind.

Scotland/Northern England and Eastern England: There is a weather warning in force for there areas, please visit the warnings area for more detail.

Starting with Scotland: From the word go there will be rain across most areas of Scotland, very heavy in places. The rain is likely to be here all day, but as we go towards the afternoon it will slowly begin to pull away from Western Scotland. However there will still be a number of showers following on behind. For Northern and Eastern Scotland, the rain will here all day and well into this evening and overnight. Flooding is a big concern, as when the rain sets into these areas it is likely to be here until Friday.

For Northern England it will begin very wet, however I am hopeful the rain will begin to push away during the afternoon. However it has been raining across this area for the last 12 hours or so, so there could be a problem with some localized flooding. As the rain moves away, we may see a few spells of sunshine. However there will be some showers.

Eastern England is pretty much the same, Heavy rain will effect this area from the word go. It will stall across this area for most of the day and overnight. So stay tuned to the EA. Temperatures across these area will be disappointing due to the rain, and gusty winds.

Friday looks a little better than today, however rain will still effect Eastern Scotland/Northern Scotland and Eastern England. Although the rain should be lighter and should pull away by late afternoon. Across other parts of the UK it will be a case of sunshine and scattered showers.

Saturday looks dry across most areas of the UK, although rain will begin to move in to the NW.

Sunday well im afraid to say it goes downhill again, with some heavy rain moving in from the West.
